By downloading, installing, or using ClingyMac ("the Software"), you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use it. Your laptop will be disappointed, but it'll manage.
ClingyMac is a macOS menu bar application that detects lid close, display sleep, and screen lock events, then displays dramatic messages when you return. It is entertainment software. It does not modify system files, install background services, or alter your Mac's behavior beyond showing messages.
Your purchase grants you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to use ClingyMac on devices you own. You may not:
ClingyMac is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or uninterrupted operation.
The developer shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from the use or inability to use the software. Total liability shall not exceed the purchase price of the software ($3.99).
The developer is not responsible for any workplace incidents, relationship friction, public embarrassment, or existential crises caused by your laptop publicly expressing its feelings about being abandoned. Use in meetings at your own risk.

ClingyMac requires macOS 13 (Ventura) or later. The developer is not responsible for issues on unsupported configurations.
ClingyMac does not collect personal data. All app data is processed and stored locally on your Mac. The only network request is a one-time purchase verification using a random device ID (not linked to your identity). No analytics, no tracking, no telemetry. See our full Privacy Policy for details.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the developer from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from your use of the software or violation of these terms.
The developer reserves the right to modify these terms at any time. Updated terms will be posted at clingymac.com/terms. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the developer's jurisdiction.
